Follow along through the challenges of fatherhood and fitness

Follow me as I grow as a father, continue to improve my fitness, and hopefully continue losing weight towards my goal of 60lbs (10lbs to go! 8.25.12).

I never set out to be overweight but I love beer, wine, scotch, and all sorts of terrible food. I didn't choose to get out of shape it just sort of happened. All that changed when I found out my wife was pregnant in December 2010. I decided it was time to set myself up to be a fitdad not a fatdad.

No one ever said it would be easy though. Dealing with a newborn and trying to continue exercising as well as being there for my wife as her husband and friend. Day 7 RW RunStreak

Feeling a little under the weather today coming into Run Streak day 7.  I think I have the virus that Christine and Noah had/have.  Its a mild sore throat a bit of a cough nothing major.  I usually try to make my Sundays longer run days, but today was not to be.  Today I opted for 2 miles, total run time 15:50.

Today was also a weigh in day, which I haven't really been updating you on because there has been nothing to update on.  I have had no weight change for the last 6 weeks, I fluctuate up a half pound, down a half pound but I basically stay at 186.  I have renewed my focus on the plan and am making sure that I stick to it better than I have for the past 6 weeks.

Hopefully the run streak will also help to accelerate the weight loss so I can shed these last 10 pounds.  Have a great week all.
